Ugly Dolls

I have displayed some of our finished Ugly Dolls!  I will be adding more as students finish up!

Mural!

This year we are going to paint a mural in the band and chorus hallway.  We have been planning this mural since the beginning of the year.  Students chose to create a mural showing one of the school themes, "Grow Your Brain".  This week we began transferring the mural to the wall.

Arts in the Lobby!

I have just displayed 3 more artworks in North Middlesex Savings Bank in Pepperell.  The artists are George Crochiere, Isabella Raposo and Ella Green.  The pieces are burlap prints with stitching and beads.  Great job!

Arts In The Lobby!

I'm pleased to announce that we will be participating in "Arts in the Lobby" this year.  Throughout the year, we will be displaying the work of Nissitissit students at the North Middlesex Savings Bank on Main Street in Pepperell.  For the month of November the works of Arianna Picariello, Emma Benson, and Tessa Holloran will be on display.

October work!

This year I tried something new.  We used chalk pastel under oil pastel instead of using all oil pastel. The results are quite amazing!  Once again, the students in the 8th grade worked on a fall still life. Students in the 7th grade learned about El Dia de Los Muertos and are making prints using foam plates.  I have posted some of the incredible work that has been created this year so far.

Welcome back to school!

I love starting out the year with a collaborative installation which includes the entire student population.  Students used analogous colors and focused on the principles of design, variety and unity.  They were also introduced to the work of current day artist Lea Anderson.
